Participant Perspectives

AP

Anya Phromchai

Bangkok ยท Money Mindset

The journaling exercises were something I hadn't expected from a financial workshop. I came in thinking I'd learn about budgeting tools, and instead I spent the first session tracing back a spending habit I'd had since university. It was uncomfortable, but genuinely useful in a way that spreadsheet templates never have been for me.

Michael Kovacs

Expatriate, Bangkok ยท Credit & Lending

I was planning to take out a loan for a condo and wanted to understand how Thai credit scoring actually works before committing to anything. The two sessions covered the mechanics clearly without being overwhelming. The credit health checklist was something I used directly when reviewing my options. Practical and no-nonsense.

Supansa Wongchai

Ratchathewi ยท Family Planning

My husband and I attended the family program together. By the third session we were having conversations about our finances that we'd been avoiding for years. The roadmap document gave us a structure to return to without turning every discussion into a disagreement. The follow-up consultation about a month later was also worth it โ€” we had questions we hadn't thought to ask during the sessions.

Thanit Lertprasit

Bangkok ยท Money Mindset

I appreciated that the group was small. There were eight of us, and by the second session it felt more like a conversation than a course. The content itself was solid โ€” I'd describe it as behavioral economics made accessible rather than dry theory. My one note would be that three sessions felt a little short; I could have used a fourth to work through some of the allocation concepts more thoroughly.

Priya Banerjee

Expatriate, Bangkok ยท Credit & Lending

Moving to Bangkok from abroad meant I had no idea how credit worked here. The session on how Thai credit scoring is calculated was exactly what I needed. Siriporn was clear and patient with questions. The reference sheet is still sitting on my desk. I've shared it with two colleagues who are in similar situations.

Jirapa Suksawat

Bangkok ยท Family Planning

We enrolled as a three-generation household โ€” myself, my husband, and my mother-in-law. I was a little skeptical about how one program could address such different perspectives. But Wichai handled it thoughtfully, and the sessions on intra-family communication were something all three of us found valuable. The roadmap document is now a reference we genuinely use.

CASE STUDIES

Three Participant Journeys

CASE STUDY 01 โ€” MONEY MINDSET WORKSHOP

CHALLENGE

A mid-career professional in Bangkok earning a stable income but unable to accumulate savings despite several attempts at budgeting apps and expense tracking tools. Repeated pattern of adequate earnings followed by month-end shortfalls.

APPROACH

Enrolled in the Money Mindset Workshop and through guided journaling identified a connection between work stress and impulsive discretionary spending. Worked through a value-based allocation framework in session three.

OUTCOME

After six months, reported consistent monthly savings for the first time in five years. Described the change as coming from understanding the trigger rather than adding more controls. Described the reflection workbook as something they still return to periodically.

CASE STUDY 02 โ€” CREDIT & LENDING LITERACY

CHALLENGE

A young couple preparing to finance their first property in Bangkok. Both had limited understanding of Thai credit scoring, and one partner had a historical credit event they weren't sure how to address before approaching lenders.

APPROACH

Completed the Credit and Lending Literacy series. Used the personal credit health checklist to assess both their profiles, gained clarity on how the historical event would be evaluated, and learned how to compare loan offers using effective interest rate calculations.

OUTCOME

Proceeded with their property loan nine months later with a clear understanding of what they were agreeing to. The couple reported approaching the process with significantly less anxiety than they anticipated before the program.

CASE STUDY 03 โ€” FAMILY FINANCIAL PLANNING

CHALLENGE

A Bangkok family of four โ€” two working parents and two school-age children โ€” with no shared framework for financial decisions. Both partners had different spending philosophies and an unspoken disagreement about education funding priorities.

APPROACH

Attended the Family Financial Planning program together across four sessions. The intra-family communication sessions helped them surface and discuss disagreements directly within a structured context, rather than deferring them. Produced a family financial roadmap with concrete timelines.

OUTCOME

Established a shared household budget with agreed roles within two months of completing the program. Resolved their education funding disagreement by developing a tiered approach. Used the follow-up consultation to revisit the roadmap after one of the partners changed jobs.
